With very curly hair or skin which has not been regularly cleansed to remove dirt and dead skin cells, hairs can grow back into the skin. This can lead to painful infections. With proper shaving (wet shavers moving in the direction of the hair growth and dry shavers using gentle up and down movements) and daily cleansing, this problem can be more or less eliminated.
